Magic Life

What is this life

And all it has to offer

We walk around with heavy hearts

And happy pills and little smiles

But is it worth it?

When I was a child

I dreamt of having everything

I’d have a castle in a magic land

And find the perfect man

And maybe then I would be whole

I find some humor

In our misfortune

I’m sorry you don’t agree

Everything’s right

Everything’s amazing

That’s what we tell ourselves while we’re in hell

And spinning off the rails

Just so the world won’t see our anger

You’re churning out the wrong lines

Always at the wrong time

Someday soon you’ll make amends

And have a lot of little friends

And maybe then you will be whole

I find some humor

In our misfortune

I’m sorry you don’t agree

I’d rather own up

To my misfortune

And make a magic life for me

When you are alone

You dream of having everything

You’ll have some children and a wife

And live a perfect little life

And maybe then

Maybe then

Maybe then
