Still Here

We’ve been through hell

And fell and came out

On the other side

We learned the hard way

Nothing has come easy

We loved and lost

And paid the cost

Of living on our own time

If I told the story

No one would believe me

I thought of all but giving up

A time or two when things were rough

But something in my heart told me to wait

You took the blame

I did the same

Along the way everything changed

And I keep thinking something must be right

A time ago

We said hello

In the city by the bay

I wanted love

 But your heart wasn’t open

We ran around 

And told ourselves that everything’s okay 

But there’s no comfort when your heart is broken

I thought of all but giving up

 That understands who I’ve become

The road has not been easy

A crazy love that others wish they could be

A million untold stories in our eyes 

It doesn’t matter who’s to blame

We live and love and play the game
