Leave a Life Behind

I fall behind

Even you can’t say what’s on your mind

In our darker days

Life was always on your side

I wait to hear the words

I tried

To put it all away

But now I find

There’s a million mistakes leading  our lives

Even if you say you won’t

I fear you might

Never stay another night

Leave the life you left behind you now

For someone else

See the world you’ve made forever now

With someone else

I held my own

There were days I failed to feel

All the pain I’ve never shown

Maybe then you’ll see me

Maybe then you’ll know

What it is I’ve waited for

2X

Leave the life you left behind you now

For someone else

See the world you’ve made forever now

With someone else

Love

What was I supposed to say?

My Love

I never wanted you this way

Life Again

Sometimes the best of us gets lost

There are days we all forget our past

What a waste to have your heart tied up in destination

Don’t worry dear just throw away the map

Enjoy the journey of your

Life again

You reach inside and find you’re getting away from your

Life again

You’ll never know until you try to break away from your

Very calculated steps

But calculating never reached the promised land

You can dance along the safety net

But between you and me

I hope you jump in soaking wet

And fall into your

Life again

You reach inside and find you’re getting away from your

Life again

You’ll never know until you try to break away from it

BRIDGE

And you were hoping that you’d never reach this part

The day has come for you to choose between your head and your heart

Don’t run away you’re only making it harder to start

The race is on and you will lose your senses

CHORUS

Sometimes the best of us gets lost

Magic Life

What is this life

And all it has to offer

We walk around with heavy hearts

And happy pills and little smiles

But is it worth it?

When I was a child

I dreamt of having everything

I’d have a castle in a magic land

And find the perfect man

And maybe then I would be whole

I find some humor

In our misfortune

I’m sorry you don’t agree

Everything’s right

Everything’s amazing

That’s what we tell ourselves while we’re in hell

And spinning off the rails

Just so the world won’t see our anger

You’re churning out the wrong lines

Always at the wrong time

Someday soon you’ll make amends

And have a lot of little friends

And maybe then you will be whole

I find some humor

In our misfortune

I’m sorry you don’t agree

I’d rather own up

To my misfortune

And make a magic life for me

When you are alone

You dream of having everything

You’ll have some children and a wife

And live a perfect little life

And maybe then

Maybe then

Maybe then

Okay

Weightless today

There’s no fear

There’s no shame

And I see my mistakes

As it all comes crashing

Down

With the leaves

In an odd clarity

And while nothing has changed

It’s not the same

CHORUS

Well I’m okay

But I never thought it would come to this

Every day I wait for that last light to flicker out

There’s no time to break

‘Cause I know in my heart it will never fade away

I’ll stay awake ‘cause I don’t want to miss a thing

Feeling it out

There’s a long line of doubt

And a question around

You in the future as you

Fight for your name

In this one-sided game

While it may be your claim

It’s not who you are

CHORUS

Crawling forward living day by day

Falling faster than I care to say

Trying to find the answers now

I try to find the answers

While the time just slips away

Hey, while you wait

You can plan your escape

You can scream, you can say

That it’s all not fair, but

Time’s on your side

There is peace in the night

And you’ll fight for your life

It’s who you are

Runaway Train

What if I were leaving here

Would you be sober enough to care?

Oh it’s always the same

Wanna throw it away again

What if everybody knew

All along I’ve been lying to you

Oh you were right all along

Maybe I’m not as strong as you

CHORUS

What if I could

Leave here on a runaway train

And stumble down through the city lights

Get lost and find myself in the rain

Would I be happy and sane

If I could be anywhere but here

What if you were on my side

What if I didn’t have to hide

Oh it’s always the same

Wanna throw it off and run

What if I believed in me

Would I be able to be set free

Oh when I’m left all alone

With the woman I’ve become

CHORUS

 BRIDGE

What if I were waiting on a stranger’s call

To take me away from it all

Escape through a break in the wall

Would it right all the wrongs

Or was I right all along?

What if it were all okay

What if I could just melt away?

Oh let me stay in the light

Of the last love (moment) I ever knew

Secrets

I can’t rely on

What is life’s ever after

All I know I depend on

You alone

Can’t be strayed

What am I doing here

What is this feeling I’ve left

Alive in the dark with you

Thinking that I’m not enough

Funny how secrets are made

When you’re alone in the room

The day you put your heart away

You’ve got nothing to lose

Fair enough

You found my hiding

Know that I believed you

Right from the start

And never have I

Been worn away

To believe I’m left

To believe

What am I doing here

What is this feeling I’ve left

Alive in the dark with you

Thinking that I’m not enough

Funny how secrets are made

When you’re alone in the room

The day you put your heart away

You’ve got nothing to lose

Still a Sign

Will you stay with me
Until the fear is over?
Will you let me see
The truth inside your eyes tonight?
Will you comfort me
Instead of getting colder?
I wish to god that you were on my side

I remember you
When we were only innocent
The only world I knew
Was spinning in your eyes
I was blind
I couldn't see my spirit fading
And I wish to god that we would have some time again
So we could live

And laugh for a while
Pretend that we're not about to lose it all
So just feel
See if there's still a sign of love

With each mistake we made
The trust was slowly breaking
The more we tried to fight
The less we had to save
I was young
I thought I never was mistaken
I wish to god that we could have that time again
So we could live

And laugh for a while
Pretend that we're not about to lose it all
So just feel
See if there's still a sign of love

A sign of life
A sign that might say
You and I have changed

The day you ran to her
I knew our life was over
You begged for me to believe a lie to ease your mind
I remember everything we ever hoped for
And I wish to god that I could be your life again
So we could live

And laugh for a while
Pretend that we're not about to lose it all
So just feel
See if there's still a sign of love
Or is this suicide of love?
